When the Creek Rises

Living on a truck was supposed to be a temporary means to save up for a better life in some distant tomorrow. When the seams of my previous existence began to unravel, “He” and I came together and loosely designed a plan that seemed painless and efficient, provided the creek of our choice didn’t rise. Unfortunately the stress of parenting a preteen and fostering a young relationship while transient – among other things – proved too much for my sensitivities to bear, and so I chose to jump ship in the middle of nowhere Ohio ten days ago in order to “get myself together”.

I’ll let you know how that works out.
